Assistant to Senator D'Amato
Dana Weisberg joined Park Strategies, LLC as an Associate in May 2002. Ms. Weisberg's duties include serving as Executive Assistant to former United States Senator Alfonse D'Amato, Director of Special Events, and Media Relations Coordinator.
Ms. Weisberg's responsibilities are many and widespread. Her most general duties for Senator D'Amato are maintaining his personal and business schedule, coordinating his travel arrangements and creating correspondence. Her other duties include preparing Senator D'Amato for his weekly news program appearances on Fox News, NY 1, and Bloomberg Radio. She is also responsible for handling all media/press contacts, both local and national. In addition, Ms. Weisberg handles all special events, including fundraising, for the office.
Ms. Weisberg completed her Masters' degree in Public Administration (MPA) with a Specialization in Management from New York University, New York, N.Y. in May 2006. As part of her MPA, she completed a year long evaluation of New York City Office of Emergency Management's Community Emergency Response ("CERT") program. She earned her Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science in May 2002 from Siena College, Loudonville, N.Y. As a student at Siena, Weisberg was named to the national "Who's Who Among Students in American Colleges and Universities" and is a member of the Pi Gamma Mu honor society. She spent a semester in Washington, D.C. through American University studying American politics and the legislative process.
In September, Ms. Weisberg was named by City Hall News as a "Rising Stars: Top 40 Under 40, The Next Generation of Political Leaders in New York."
