Robert McBride
Vice President
Brooklyn-born Robert McBride has been successfully creating business opportunities for his entire career. He has been a vice president with Park Strategies since 2003.
Recognizing an opportunity, Mr. McBride bought into a small company at age 23 and rapidly expanded the taxicab segment of the business by gaining a competitive edge in a regulated industry. Through equipment upgrades and direct mail marketing, Mr. McBride successfully competed with airport limo services and grew his fleet from 26 to 400+ vehicles. During this 20 year period he built business relationships throughout the country.
When Mr. McBride sold his company to a public firm in 2000, it was the largest franchise company in the region. Subsequently, Mr. McBride directed operations, mergers and acquisitions as the Northeast Regional Manager at Coach USA, the largest ground transportation company in the nation.
As an entrepreneur, manager and, business broker, he offers first-hand experience and counsel to client companies, which include those in transportation, real estate, pharmaceuticals, security services, waste management and healthcare. He also advises federal, state and local governments on multiple issues.
"I find myself speaking a kind of 'short-hand' with my clients," Mr. McBride says. "Because I've had to jump over many of the same financial, political and regulatory hurdles that they face, my learning curve is often quite short, and the solutions I recommend tend to be practical and straightforward. The consulting business doesn't need to be mysterious. And the solutions don't need to be complicated. They just need to work."
With a strong belief that a key element of business success is a commitment to community service, Robert has served on the board of numerous philanthropies including the United Way, Leukemia Society, and Board of Governors for The Friendly sons of St. Patrick and Helen Keller Services for the Blind. He is currently a Board Member of the Nassau County Law Enforcement Advisory Board. He is Past Chairman of the Board of the Education and Assistance Corporation, and past President of Mineola Lions Club. Over the last decade Robert has been honored by such organizations as: Irish American in Government, Helen Keller Services of the Blind, Circula de la Hispanidad, Inc., Education and Assistance Corporation, NCFJE of Long Island, and United Way of Long Island. Robert was made "Man of the Year" for the NCPD Emerald Society in 1999, and was also the Irishman of the year in 2005 by The Friendly Sons of St. Patrick.
Mr. McBride studied Business Administration (SUNY).
He and his wife, Marion, have three grown children, and live in Dix Hills, New York.
